Loosening my legs up with some easy miles and then refueling with green juice are both a part of my Sunday recovery routine. Ever since I bought a juicer 6 months ago I’ve been loving fresh juices as a yummy and easy way to get some post run nutrients.
I don’t eat before I run on training days. But put me in the crossfit gym without a snack and I start to feel shaky. Maybe I actually need the fuel, or maybe the heavy weights and barbells just scare me. Either way, I need to eat something small before heading to my 5:30am class at Crossfit Shadyside. Breakfast is absolutely my favorite meal of the day. After my 5am weekday alarm goes off to run or go to the crossfit gym, the thought of coming home to a bowl of oatmeal and cup of coffee gets me out of bed.
